Workshops

The Natural Capitalism team is available to deliver 1-5 day workshops to your group to meet your specific needs. Whether you are just discovering that sustainability can increase your profits, or are ready to make your organization truly restorative—we can help! Learn how to lead your company or community to a more prosperous future with the help of Natural Capitalism.

Below are possible workshop topics, but NCS is happy to structure a workshop to fit your group's unique requirements.

Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more information.

Workshop Topics

  • Sustainable Business Practice—Explore how the Management Helix enables a company to progress from an initial exploration of the business case for sustainability to becoming a fully restorative corporation.
  • LASER (Local Action Sustainability Economic Renewal)—Train in this comprehensive approach that  empowers communities to develop and to strengthen their local economy and enhance quality of life without depleting land, energy, water, and other forms of natural capital.
  • Energy Efficiency and Climate Change—Learn how to implement a program in your community to reduce costs, enhance quality of life and improve local security.  We can help your company or community reduce carbon emissions, join the growing number pledging to meet the Kyoto Protocol, and join the Chicago Climate Exchange.
  • Sustainability Indicators—Educate local leaders about sustainability and the merits of sustainability indicators as a community development and management tool, and stimulate better regional cooperation.
  • All speech topics are also available in workshop format.

What people say . . .

"With their sustainability workshop, Hunter Lovins and her team from Natural Capitalism provide an inspirational and informative forum for learning about the opportunities in becoming a sustainable enterprise. The interactive format of their workshop involves all the participants and makes the learning experience valuable to everyone who attends. The Chicago companies who participated in our 2004 GreenPlants workshop enjoyed the experience and came away more informed and energized to take the next steps on the sustainability journey."
--Karen Wan, Chicago Manufacturing Center
